Forgiven At The Cross

Some of us have experienced horrible pasts. We wish we could have changed something if we had had the chance to. We can’t complain to ourselves let alone talk to someone else about it. We can’t rebuild again and achieve things for ourselves because in this world we are constantly being reminded about how awful our past was.

People, who knew us way back, gossip about us with our friends. This can be quite embarrassing. Those were lifestyles we don’t engage in again but people still see us and condemn us.

When will we realize that humans are always going to be humans? We set out to look for someone who would embrace us irrespective of our past; someone who is not going to count our sins against us. Getting such people was few and far-fetched. We have to look beyond all those imperfections and mindsets people have about us. We found and had an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and since then we’ve been heating up against this cold world.

We should not let the world win this battle against us. Christ has done that on our behalf 2000 years ago. Take the past to Him, He won’t judge nor humiliate you. He won’t tell the whole heavens about how sinful you were and all those things you’ve done in the past.

He is going to just accept and give you that all embracing smile and let you feel you belong to His kingdom.

He knows that burden you are carrying, and deep down He’s waiting for you to lay it all at His feet. He wants to take that bitter portion of your heart, to clear out the pain and hurt that has taken you captive.

He loves you wholeheartedly and wants a relationship with you. Don’t hold back on your past, you are not the greatest sinner here on earth, but you have to know that there’s a God who’s crazy about you and wants a chance with you and it’s worth a try.

Take that bold step and come to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

For He traded the perfection of heaven for the poverty of the earth. He traded the triumphs of heaven for the tragedy of the cross. Jesus traded heaven for your heart. He’s just waiting for you to call upon him. Let him be the Lord of your life and take over.

“Come now let’s settle this, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet. I will make them white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool” – Isaiah 1:18 (NLT)

There’s much more ahead today and tomorrow than the yesterday could reveal. You wouldn’t want to live in the past. It isn’t worth it. Come to the Cross and choose eternal life over death.

Christianity is beautiful, Christianity is a relationship you live out daily with Christ. Come and lay all the burdens, pains, hurts and the past to God for He truly cares about you.

Strive on to the future and let God take control of the wheel as you ride with him.

Imagine a love so vast, so deep, all consuming, so infinite that you could do anything in your power to deny or treat like trash, but it would still want you with passion deeper than you’ve even known… Allow me to introduce you to Jesus Christ.
